Around MLB 2017

Through his age 28 season (end of last season), Kimbrel had 256 saves.

Through his age 28 season, Mariano Rivera had 84 saves.

I'd say Kimbrel has a shot to easily break the record, but Mariano played until age 43. Kimbrel will need health and the desire to stick around until his late 30's.

He definitely could.....throw heat and a nasty slider until his arm needs surgery. Take a season off, then come back with a nasty cutter.

Really do miss Kimbrel

Alex Wood has probably pitched better than any other starter in baseball this year. Shut out the Cubs last night. I still can't grasp why we gave him away for that overpaid, over the hill, piece of trash.

Man I think we all would enjoy if wood could ease his way into colon spot. Might hurt a little at first but in the end we all be happier.

Bryce Harper getting his ass kicked on Memorial Day is like ... the best memorial of all time.

LOL. That's not what happened.

Some no-named pitcher was mad because Bryce hit two monstrous bombs off him 3 years ago, so he dinged him (which is really dumb)

Harper landed a jab or two on that guy's jaw.

What Posey did said it all.

Harper is arrogant, but you shouldn't target people because you have trouble getting them out.

Not a fan of Harper but I have no issue with him rushing the mound there. Batters should go after pitchers who throw at them intentionally more often. That might make pitchers question whether it's a good idea.

Harper got punched in the face several times -- plus looked like a two year old throwing his helmet -- while fighting like said two year old. That satisfies me greatly, no matter how bush league the play was.

Although this satisfied me more:

Holy crap. Harper is one of the worst fighters I've ever seen. That was really bad.

I have always maintained that he is fortunate that he declined Julion's invitation to charge the mound after JT hit him a few years ago. Harper's a lot bigger but I'd be willing to bet that Julion has been in a fight before, and I'm pretty sure Bryce hasn't.

Cue gilesfan sighting. Showing up to say defend Harper and talk about how outstanding of a citizen Harper is and how the Giants and the city of San Francisco are garbage people.

Yeah. Julio has no fear. That would have been cool.

Why fight him when Bryce absolutely owns him.

McCann and Uggla were close at hand as well IIRC.

Using the 10 point must system, it was 10-9 Strickland IMO.
