The expanded playoff format with the shortened season this season makes me think that the trade deadline will be super uneventful this season.
I seriously doubt the playoff format will stay. DH? Sure and that's a welcome change.
I guess... but its conceivable to have a 40-20 team get bounced by a 28-32 team in a short 3 game series.
That seems dumb
Jose Urena just tested positive for covid..
Well this is interesting. It’s this kind of thing that will abruptly end the season. If large chunks of teams are suddenly missing players then the season is kind of pointless and dangerous.
Several people will say it’s only Miami, but can you imagine if this happens to the Yankees, Dodgers, Houston, or Washington?

It’s what reserves are for. Everyone will deal with that to some extent
Lol so we’re playing a hunger games style season? Last man standing? The goal of winning the World Series is saying who has the best MLB team. Not who has the best minor league system to heavily supplement the MLB team for an entire year.
The other option is not to play at all. People are going to get it.
It’s one thing to get covid while having a profession that is essential, such as a doctor, nurse, or any other healthcare worker. But getting covid and then helping the spread of it while being an entertainer is pretty stupid and unnecessary. There’s a reason why concerts and performances have all gone away for the foreseeable future. As much as I love sports, I love humanity and health a lot more. Baseball should never have happened. I’ll be shocked if this season gets completed.
It is concerning that Urena and several other Marlins are showing symptoms or tested positive. Especially after the Braves just played them this week and d'Arnaud/Flowers both out sick.
It's just the marlins
I don't believe either Flowers or D'Arbaud tested positive
They're also about to take 2 out of 3 from the Phillies to start the season lol
