Around the League 2020 Edition

Cleveland's entire offense this year has basically been Jose Ramirez. Lindor's been ok. Reyes has been ok.

It is positively putrid after that.

And it's really too bad Drew Waters didn't have the appearance of a guy a little more ready to hit MLB pitching. Would've been nice to add Clevinger, recent injury notwithstanding.

He's winning the MVP

Gotta be him or Bieber. Both 0.1 more fwar than NL-leading Freddie Freeman.

Bieber will take the Cy Young and Jose will take the MVP. They have carried the load for the Indians for sure and I'm not sure the last time a team has had both in the same year.

You mean single team, two different players? Because obviously Verlander and Kershaw have recently won both.

These playoff teams with terrible lineups are crazy. Giants have like four Inciartes. Somehow still beating the Padres 5-3.

Based on a single PA (ending in a K), plus his stat line, I'm ready to say that I'd prefer to have William Contreras over Joey Bart.

giants are my preferred opponent

That's why I'm checking in.

Annnd they just gave up a walk-off three-run homer to Trent Grisham (at the Giants home park—which, weird, but w/e).

Downside: Reds remain the seventh-seed for today.
Upside: Tatis was in the on-deck circle, and I didn't want to watch him knock a walk-off GS on Freddie's night.

Looking more and more like the Reds will be our opponent. Looks like the Reds have the tie breaker over the Giants due to better inter division record unless the Giants win their last two games over the Padres.

Our best bet is to have the Reds win out and Cardinals keep losing. But the Cardinals have better head to head record vs Reds so they hold that tie breaker.

Looking more and more like we'll have to face the damn Reds in the 3-game series, the one team you do not wanna see. Castillo, Bauer and Gray in a 3-game series is annoying.

Yeah...Reds own the tie breaker over Giants, Phillies, and Brewers.

So there a couple of scenarios. We need the Reds to lose out and Giants to win out. That bumps the Giants to the 7th seed.

Need the Reds to jump the Cards. With the way things are looking they may not even need to play the games on Monday if it won't effect the Brewers or Phillies getting it. But regardless if they do end up playing all 60 games the Cards do own the tie breaker over the Reds. If the Reds win out they likely jump them though.

So it's official. The Angels will not win a single playoff game during the 20s of who could become the best player ever. ****ing pathetic.

Blame Trout more than the Angels. He could have left if he wanted.
