Around The Majors 2019

I watched that 4 run ninth inning of the Padres vs Rockies. Hosmer walked that inning on a 3-2 pitch that replay showed him clearly swing. This was more clearly a swing than say that no swing call on Culberson for us in game one against philly. Davis saves that game had that been called right. In fact, the final would've been 13-10 Rockies but instead that changed the outcome as Padres won 14-13.

Eww, why? There are better relievers who'll cost significantly less.

What better relievers would cost less? Kirby Yates is putting up ridiculous numbers and has yet to give up a HR this season. We need that type player in our BP ASAP!

I take that back he just gave up a HR in that Rockies series where they put up almost 100 runs combined!

Yea, Blackman took him deep yesterday but today he got Blackman to start the ninth and got the save. I don't think he has any blown saves this year.

He’s arguably been a top 3 RP this year... 44.4% K rate... doesn’t give up homers... K’s 15 per 9 has an era under 2 and an xFIP right at 2.... you tell me who’s been better than that this year

He's not going to be able to tell you another name especially one that's on the market.

I feel for AA. Everyone is going to be asking for Pache or Waters. He's gotta start off every conversation with a "don't even think about it" mentality.

I've literally thought about this. We have such depth that we're likely going to be screwed on a deal no matter what.

It's a good thing I don't judge players based off of 60 games.

It's not that he isn't a good reliever. But he is a career journeyman and is 32 years old. Ken Giles and Will Smith have significantly better track records than Yates and should come much cheaper. As stated, the package mentioned is the sort of package I'd expect for someone like Hand or Iglesias. Yates would be nice if the cost is low, but I rather doubt that's the case.

yeah that's too much for me to give up for an older RP. i doubt that much is necessary for an improvement.
really hesitant to trade a good depth piece like Camargo.
