Around The Majors 2019

Remember our Bae?

Ji-Hwan Bae - Bae's suspension stems from being found guilty in October 2018 by a South Korean court of assaulting his former girlfriend on New Year’s Eve in 2017. He reportedly slapped, choked and kicked her. Signed for $1.25 million, Bae was one of the prospects who had his contract voided after signing with the Braves due to illegal tampering. The suspension will begin Thursday

Coppy really went all out.

didn't realize they had him, but the Phillies have recalled our boy Phil Gosselin to the majors.

He's been sticking around. He really fell off the table in 2017 and 2018, but he put up some decent 25th guy numbers prior to that. The baseball universe will never hinge on his performance, but if he hits at all he's not a total loss.

love that guys like he and flaherty stick around so long

Yanks?

Also- he’s been awful at AAA

I knew that. Was BoSox locked for some reason. Had 1 truly awful outing but has rebounded well.

MLBTR--

Thus far with the Yankees’ Triple-A affiliate, Gonzalez has had mixed results. He was shelled in the season opener for Scranton (eight runs in four innings), but he’s rebounded with a pair of excellent outings, yielding a combined two runs with an 18-to-2 K/BB ratio in 11 innings.

The fact that he made 93 pitches in his most recent outing should signal to other clubs that he’s built up enough to the point that he could step directly onto a big league pitching staff if needed.

Doubt he leaves NY... flushing bound
