Around The Majors 2019

I still think they’re a borderline playoff team, just like the rest of them.

I think they’re a step below, this weekend’s performance notwithstanding. Fangraphs has them a good bit behind the Brewers in both division and playoffs odds, which I think matches the on-paper talent disparity between the two.

props to nscapi, btw, for mentioning max kepler all offseason as a potential trade target due to possible breakout. he’s been great. the twins as a whole have been absurd, tho, so maybe they weren’t too willing to deal anyone, thinking they’d have a solid team.

Does the NL have a great team outside of the Dodgers. I just don’t see any team challenging them in the NL.

Barring injuries to LAD, hard to see anyone really challenge them.

Cubs probably have the best chance in a series. Lester, Hamels, Quintana, Hendricks is probably the best anyone can matchup with LA's SP's in Kershaw, Buehler, Ryu and Hill. Cubs offense is pretty good too. But yeah, they're far and away the best in the NL. Every other NL contender is flawed.

they extented Max which tells you the price in a trade would have been a steep one

The Braves and Phils should be playing on Memorial day, not both off on Memorial day. That is all.

EVERY team should be playing on Memorial Day. We should all be able to listen to our favorite team playing on the radio while we're playing yard games and grilling. I had to listen to a Braves podcast while I grilled today. A PODCAST!

So was that the stupid money they been talking about. Guessing cutch plays center or Kingery. Using Nick Williams some. This still has to be a huge distraction for the team.
