Around The Majors 2019

If we play 500 the rest of the way; what record does the Nats need to have in order to tie us?

74 games left for us. 37 wins puts us at 89. 76 games left for Nats. 45-41 record means they need 45 to get to 90 wins. 45-31 is what the Nats need to go to overtake us if we play .500 from here out. 7 games vs them in mid and late July should sort things out before the trade deadline.

Our schedule from mid August on is super easy minus one dodger series and 2 series vs the Nats. Last 45 games includes 28 against teams that are highly likely to sell at the trade deadline like the Mets,Jays,Royals,Giants, and White Sox. And the 17 non seller games includes 1 against the Rockies and 7 against the Phillies.

The Nationals win again. That's 26 wins in their last 36 games -- a 117-win pace over almost a quarter of their 2019 schedule.

They're doing what they're supposed to be doing. Check their schedule over the past month. Two series against the White Sox and Marlins, a series against Detroit, Baltimore, Kansas City

Even more impressive to win like that after selling off all their good players a week ago when the Braves landed that kill shot

Browsing the stats on ESPN, and apparently former Brave Charlie Morton is leading the AL with a 2.36 ERA, followed by former Brave Michael Minor with a 2.54 ERA...wow

They say he was upset because deGrom pitched 7 strong then the bullpen blew it....I’m sorry jackass but you put the team on the field

Why would they be mad at the manager for their "elite" closer blowing games? It's not like they have other great options. If they think a manager change will fix their problems they haven't been paying attention.
