Around The Majors 2019

86’d. Someone worked in restaurants

I’m a graduate student with an intro teaching position, which means insufficient salary during the semesters and no salary over summer. So yea: you can catch me slinging craft cocktails & wine on the weekends and all summer.

I waited tables all through college. Worked my way up to a very nice place where 1000 a week was easy. After drinking 400 of that, I had enough to cover most of school and bills.

Yea, I just got eighty-sixed from another Cracker Barrel because of the scene I made while posting that.

Didn't they at least let you finish your 8,000 calorie entree of something drenched in gravy. Don't ever let that gravy harden. I swear their gravy recipe calls for a cup of cement.

Everyone knew the Nats are good but they’re playing some damn good ball.

They've also hit an easy stretch on their schedule. The reds are well under .500. The Brewers got off to a hot start this year but have been a sub-.500 team since the start of July. Now they're playing an absolutely terrible Pirates team.

Their schedule stays pretty easy for a bit too. They have 3 more against the Pirates before playing their only tough series coming up against the Cubs. They then get the Orioles and Marlins.

I was going to mention that as well. Still, they're absolutely obliterating teams right now. They obviously won't do this on a nightly basis against good teams, but they deserve some credit for pulling it together as such a terrible start.

I can't say much about their upcoming schedule since the Bravos have a fairly easy one as well. Miami, Toronto, Chicago, Philly, KC and San Fran isn't bad. I do hate that we have so many against the Nats coming up.
