Oops, my bad.

Medlen, Beachy, and Venters defy the logic of being healthier.
I really like Alex Wood, to even think of trading him would be ridiculous.
For me he and Teheran make up 2 #1 starters. just look at hits allowed vs innings pitched.
Would like to see if LaStella could play 3B espescially if Peraza plays a lot of 2B next year. Glad we have young infielders!
The 5 year window only applies to first TJ sugery. Most pitchers are done after 2 TJ surgeries. Beachy I think it was questionable that he was ever really healthy after the first surgery. Medlen is the one that just came out of nowhere and defies all logic.
That sounds good. However given the streakiness of the team I don't see consistency all of a sudden showing up.BTW, our best shot at a Wild Card spot now is to beat out either the Cardinals or Brewers. They both have an easy schedule minus 7 games head-to-head in Sept. Those games are where we'll need to catch and pass one of them. The Giants have a real cakewalk of a schedule left and we are three back in the loss column to them. So while we could possibly catch them, it is unlikely minus a really hot Sept. IMO.
To sum it up, if we just keep winning series from here on out, and even if we say lose one series. As long as we stay away from any more losing streaks, then will catch and likely pass either the Cardinals or Brewers.
For the record, I am really liking the rotation right now,.
Cards play pirates for 3 and then Brewers for 4 next week. It's great that it guarantees 1 will lose but it also guarantees one will win.
The Giants I agree I don't think we will catch. They have 2 games tomorrow. Maybe we get lucky and we win and they lose both but I doubt that will happen. Either way it's nice to have a real playoff race. The last time we had a real race it was only because of an epic collapse.
With Minor going well we could have sick pitching in a 4 game series.

I'm sure the Nats want no part of us in the playoffs. They will be going hard to knock us out of playoff contention to make sure of that next week.

How awesome would it be to win the play in game and beat the Nats in the NLDS.
Same, we'll probably fall 2-3 games out, maybe a few more out.
I believe we would if we get in and beat the Giants. The hardest part will be getting in and beating the Giants, but if that does happen I'll take us over the Nats.
