Aviles DFA'd as expected since he's actually been worse than Aybar this year. He was in the deal simply to off-set some of the money involved and because Detroit didn't want him anymore. Truth be told, as much as I am happy that Aybar is gone I must admit Detroit got an upgrade here. That's just how bad Aviles has been this year. Now in the past he was better, but same can be said for Aybar back in the day.

We should have kept Aviles and started him everyday at short for the next (and hope he turns it around) 2 weeks and then traded him to Boston or Texas.
