I guess scaring people with a knife and then approaching officers with a knife is a bad idea.

Police say they were responding to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon on Friday night. On arrival they were met with an “armed man,” CBS Los Angeles reported. According to Detective Meghan Aguilar, the man was carrying a knife.
“When he saw the officers, he approached them and an officer involved shooting occurred,” ABC News reported Aguilar as saying.

Yes - the police said that. Of course they do. And maybe they're telling the truth. It wouldn't surprise me that our pussy police force was so scared and insecure about a swiss army pocket knife that they felt compelled to start shooting... Just another dead victim is all.
Of course - these are assumptions. I won't ever know because I wasn't there. And I'm certain there will never be an investigation.
Oh, and those pesky witnesses all seem to think think similarly.

2. You think that a knife that size can't cause great bodily harm or death.

Thats how they can never be "proven" wrong. All evidence is tampered with by the police.

No. I'm saying the eye witnesses there don't back up their story. If more evidence or video comes out, I'm all ears.
Having said that, if our cops aren't trained to deal with a pocket knife without killing someone, they are bigger pussies than I thought. I've been in fights with my bare hands against a pocket knife and came away with a slight cut on my knuckle.

So you're doubling down? You say the police are lying about the knife being there, and you're saying a knife that size can't cause serious bodily harm or death.

So, we have the following:
1. Eye witnesses saying a man was shot multiple times
2. Witnesses saying they heard gun shots - THEN saw police officers running to the man (indicating they shot him from afar)
3. No police injuries - indicating there probably wasn't much of a threat to any cops - at least not enough to shoot someone
And you blindly defend it. HE HAD A POCKET KNIFE!!!!!!!!

Since it's clear you have no idea what you're talking about( a common theme), let me break it down for you:
1. No ones denying a man was shot.
2. So what if they saw the cops running? Doesn't mean it had to be a great distance. Could have been 10-20 feet. That distance is well within the range to shoot an an armed suspect.
3. No police injuries you say? Great! No need to let a man with a knife get close enough to injure you.
4. He had a pocket knife...well at least you just admitted the guy was armed. Thanks! Also, you must not be familiar with stab wounds and how easily someone could die from one. Depending on the depth of a stab wound( 1/2 inch in depth to 2 1/2 inches) death could occur in a matter of between 3 seconds and 1 1/2 minutes. I'm sure a pocket knife could get that kind of penetration. Still think it's "JUST" a pocket knife?

You can't be that stupid. I got a pocket knife on me right now. Should I be shot? No!
Now, should I be shot if I pull it out and come at the police officers with it? Hell yeah! Hopefully you can see the difference between the two.
