Baseball is weird

Didn't know where to put this and I didn't want it to get overlooked because it's got some really interesting facts for baseball fans.

I came across this article today.

To summarize a bit, Joey Votto has never once in his entire big league career popped out to the catcher, pitcher, or first baseman. What's more, since 2010 he only has a total of 7 infield pop ups. How crazy is that?!?! Makes you really appreciate just how good of a hitter Votto really is.

And he's going to waste his whole career with the Reds. He would be a HOF lock if he played on certain teams.

If Joey Votto missed out on the HoF it would discredit the institution for all time lol. He is averaging 5+ WAR per year in his 11 full seasons and has a .962 career OPS. And that WAR number would be even higher if he didn't have a couple injury plagued seasons sprinkled in there. He is one of the best pure hitters of this generation
