Beckham To The DL; Ryan Weber Called Up

Last game against the Marlins we had exactly zero lefty bench bats. We need a lefty bench bat a lot more than an eighth guy in the pen. Roster management continues to be bizarre.

I thought surely Boni was getting the call.. switch hitter who plays multiple positions.. hitting .400 in the minors (or was)... Maybe Copi realizes that Frediot can't figure out how to use the BP..

It is an overreaction to recent games. I bet one or two relief pitchers get little work over the next couple weeks. I like Weber btw. This is not about him.

Fredi wanted the relief help where he could continue doing what he does. This way he doesn't have to worry about using another starter in game three after he blows through the bullpen in the first two games. :)
 
Congrats to Weber btw, he deserved to be called up as he'd been pitching lights out in AAA. He hasn't gave up a run this season yet.
