Biden Drops Out of Race

Calling my shot now: Wes Moore wins the nomination in an open convention and Andy Brashear is added to the ticket to help with moderates. His trajectory has been slowly building in the background for months and he is the exact type of “focus on duty, leadership and getting things done” personality that seems could build around. My only reason I’d have for not trying would be if Dems or Moore think subbing into this race will kill his momentum.

Because donor money was drying up and there was a collective panic that Biden was going to tank down ballot races. The party “with standards” were gaslighting the public for months about the state of Biden’s mental faculty

I’m not even sure Trump makes it to Election Day alive at this rate. We have absolutely no clue who controls the country.

But yes if it’s a Trump Harris matchup then 400EVs are on the table.

I think it basically solidifies her as the nominee. With 3 months to go, D is running out of time to rally behind a candidate and an open convention has the potential to be chaos.

Thanks to your supreme court Biden can just order the CIA to kill Trump and has full immunity for it. Supreme Court ruling comes down and two weeks later Trump gets shot. Just saying

I’d put that at about 75/25. I think the Dems weigh the convenience of letting Harris semi-gracefully lose to Trump vs. having a newcomer energize the base and how much that could support down-ticket races.

I don’t think a pivot to Harris does anything to sway voters turned off by this past month and they could enter the equation.
