Someone can check my math, but the difference in a .292 OBP vs a ~.400 OBP over 182 PAs is about 20 base runners.

That’s 20 extra runners on base in front of JD, Freeman and Acuna these poor lineup choices have cost the Braves already this year.

You gotta remember that Snits manages with a dart board, old style stats and gut feelings. Anything over 3rd grade math is out of his comfort zone.

No, it doesn’t. Swanson doesn’t belong in the 2 hole long term. He has already regressed to the point where his OBP is .330 on the season.

The correct answer vs RHP is Markakis, Acuna, Freeman, JD. The low power high OBP guy bats in front of the best 3 hitters in order of overall effectiveness with platoon balance taken into account. It is very simple.

I was talking about getting Acuña the extra AB per game, you are right about vs. RHP but the problem is Snitker will never do it so you have to get Acuña an extra plate appearance (within Snitker's reasoning) somehow.
