I get that Fredi is trying to keep BJ out of the middle of the order and at the same time utilize his speed. But batting leadoff and potentially getting the most at bats is insane. Bat him 9th. Same thing is accomplished and if he gets on he has speed in front of the top of the order. But you can't have your worst hitter batting leadoff. Who does that? Any other manager????

Lastella and Freeman hit lefties fine, so Fredi's desire to not be disadvantaged by a lefty reliever doesn't hold much water. But what does, in many of his decisions.

Heyward is not a run producer at this point in his career. We can all WISH he was....but he's not.
