Each side of their quotes is so far from the truth it is hilarious.

One side has a racists agenda and in some cases right, the other side using stats that are flat out wrong in considering the context to prove a point.

This is why I don't bother interjecting because of me being one of the few blacks here, you all frankly do not understand. Just like people on the liberal side errr Dem side didn't know a lot of them don't like Barry O for obvious reasons, but they like him just enough to never vote Republican.

As we say it in the family/hood....it is complicated.

That is part of the "complicated" we are talking about.

We can't dispose of them as they are too powerful, too loud. There is no one in the younger generation that can fight them and their agenda. I am not in Chicago nor I am young but there are some in the church that want to do something. You need a congregation and that congregation to reach other congregations but this is not the 60's were everyone had the same agenda. Blacks have their factions, divisions and what not. This is why we have one side that hate the gangs, the out of wedlocks, the buranites, the innercity aka hoodrats, they even have divisions in the South, but if they won't change and refusing to change, what can we do?. We know it is wrong the whites sure in hell know it is wrong.

Like I said, we have diversity just like whites but our situation is way more precarious than yours. It is like fighting on three fronts. Divided to be conquered which is where we are but when united we stand is what we should be, but one group doesn't want to partake in that. That group gives us a bad name.

Shoot, Spike Lee talked about Sharpton in Do The Right Thing. That was made in 1988. Bet half the posters here weren't even born yet.

And they aren't going to give up power either until they are six feet under and hopefully noses pointed down seeing where they are headed.

True, but the media needs to keep them relevant.

Without them the Democrat noose will weaken.

Or better yet, the fight for reparations. Ask the American Indians, the true people of this nation the Euro's stole from. They are boxed up like the Japanese was in WWII.
