Brandon Gaudin new play by play guy per reports.

100% improvement over Chip. I listened to Chip call one of the Braves - Cardinals games last week for old times’ sake, and it just solidified how better Gaudin has been in this role.

I remember when CJ came up with the Reds in the mid 90s... dude was a big time prospect who didn't end up having much success. I have probably a thousand or more of his rookie cards lol

Gaudin is only okay in my book. He doesn't do enough play by play but chatters on about nonsense and talks way too much about the pitchers not only for the Braves but the opposing team. A Braves player will be batting but Guadin will talk the entire at bat about the opposing pitcher. He's obsessed with all pitchers. I really don't need to know what the pitchers favorite meal was in elementary school. Plus, he goes on and on about the history of the ball parks. I want more play by play.

I'll be honest. Play by play for television is largely irrelevant. Especially for anyone who is an actual baseball/braves fan. We know what's going on. Nationally broadcast games/playoff games, sure. That is going to be bring in a more casual audience. But a regional sports network? Nah.

Exactly.

Love that guy and he is secretly hilarious.

To be fair, there is a lot of time between the action sequences in baseball. I appreciate the numbers and details that are shared between the action. Just want to see/hear some enthusiasm when something big happens.

I like BG, and feel like he provides a good balance. CJ is the same during the action and between.

If he wants to talk about he Braves pitchers...okay but I don't want him to go on and on about the opposing team's pitcher while the Braves are batting. And he doesn't know when to stop. Plus, this nonsense about what a pitcher was doing in middle school and their favorite food etc is just very annoying.
