Braves acquire Montero from Stros

I dont expect this to help much, what we need is a SP so Holmes can go to the pen. That would fix a lot. Even if its a SP who puts up a 5 ERA it would still improve our chances of winning starts by the other 4 significantly while only dropping our chances in the 5th spot slightly if at all.

We had our chance to scoop up 1-2 of those and didn't do it. We're on the thinnest of ice now when it comes to the rotation, no doubt.
 
I think theres options out there like Martin Perez and Austin Slater of the White Sox. The Orioles might even eat salary to give us back Morton and Laureano.

We've found a way to acquire almost every AAAA scrub and has-been reliever. I think we could have found a veteran fifth starter. We didn't want to block Ian, though lol. Now we've got Holmes (who should be in the pen or a one-time-through-the-lineup guy, AJSS (who was rushed and hasn't learned to pitch yet), and Elder (who flat out sucks) all in the rotation.
