Good luck getting someone to take on any part of that contractI would be fine with trading Riley. Get a kings ransom for a dude that absolutely is a coin flip on whether he will help or destroy you every game.
Maybe if you paid half the salary.I would be fine with trading Riley. Get a kings ransom for a dude that absolutely is a coin flip on whether he will help or destroy you every game.
Is it really a bad contract? He's projected to be over 4 fWAR and above 3.5 the next 2.Maybe if you paid half the salary.
I thought Riley's was the oddest contract extension. No arbitration to buy out and he's signed through age 35 at $22MM AAV. That's a below market AAV, but it will be curious to see how he ages. I will say this about Riley. He made adjustments to his game and really made himself into a very solid baseball player. When he was coming up, I thought he'd be a slightly better version of Mike Hessman but he's really been pretty good. But he's a big body guy and we'll have to see how he holds up going forward.Good luck getting someone to take on any part of that contract
He’s giving streaky a whole new meaning this year.Riley is streaky. We know this. When he goes on one of his little tears where he hits .350 over 2 months and has like 18 homers everyone will talk about how much of a beast he is.
like the kind you find in your kids underwear. He’s giving streaky a whole new meaning this year.
