Dbacks in talks with the Atlanta Braves on a trade for Trevor Cahill.

@Gambo987

Dbacks will eat about half of Cahill's $12 million contract and get prospects back in trade with Braves.

I was watching the White Sox/Diamondbacks game on MLB Network and Steve Stone mentioned Cahill being possibly traded. Had a feeling the Braves might be in the discussions.

Is Cahill still a ground ball pitcher? If so I think the move from Arizona to Atlanta would help him.

Per Wikipedia: Cahill warms up to the song "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane.

The #Braves are not comfortable placing two similar lefties (Wandy and Stults) back-to-back in their rotation.

Why pay 6 million plus prospects for him? The only way I want him is if they're taking someone like CJ off our hands.

He's had an ERA+ over 100 twice in his career and it was 67 last year.....He is owed 12 million, even if AZ picks up 6 mil we will owe him 6 + prospects. It's dumb

If they don't want two lefties in the rotation then put Stults in the bullpen (he has no issue doing that) and Martin in the rotation. Problem solved, 6 million + prospects saved!

I am losing all confidence in Hart and co.

Cahill is an interesting reclamation project -- but not at $6MM + prospects.

Agreed, and there's no way the Braves will pay that price. DBacks really have minimal leverage. I'm not at all impressed with Dave Stewart as a GM so far.
