Braves in talks with DBacks for Trevor Cahill

I think this will be a common theme among D'Back fans:

@9Richard19

TREVOR CAHILL IS GONE!

DONT EVER LET SOMEONE TELL YOU DREAMS CANT CONE TRUE!

PS: D'Back fans wanted him gone so bad a number of them were offering to pay for a limo to drive him to the airport.

Whats your point? Tons of DBACK fans wanted Justin Upton gone as well. Cahill has a ton of talent... he's not the soft tosser like you claim (the actual data back that up) and he had terrible luck last year... in fact last year was his only true down year if you're only hoping he's a 3-5 spot pitcher.

Any player that's traded you can find tweets of fans who are excited. We got him for nothing and he's not that expensive.

I think they'll try like the dickens to trade Wandy, personally

If they are somehow able to essentially swap Cahill for Rodriguez (or Stults) adding a prospect with an additional draft pick as a cherry on top then I would be exceedingly pleased.

Preach.

My point was that he was so bad that most D'Back fans wanted him gone badly. Further, he was terrible last year and hasn't been good in years so I can see their point. And the soft-tosser comment was quoted from MLBTR and has already since been corrected.

According to some, horrible move, but thats because they hate the new FO since they traded Jesus.

No one said it was a horrible move. We didn't even know what the move was yet. It's strange to go after Cahill, but I like the trade. Good deal for us, especially if the comp pick is accurate.

13 m is not bad for a middle of the rotation pitcher pktentially. You can exercise the option and trade him for a nice prospect assuming a bounceback

6 million give or take for a guy who had a league average FIP? Not bad for a rebuilding team. If he does return to form he could be flipped at the deadline or possibly extended if the team thinks they have fixed him. For a team rebuilding this move has negative implications imo.
