Think I read where he is scheduled to pitch today. So I guess Ynoa is temporary.
I’m glad to finally see a third catcher being utilized to allow Contreras to be in the lineup regularly and since we apparently don’t intend to utilize Heredia against LHP.

Why is Elder still up. He can’t be used after yesterday. Bring up anyone else who could possibly be available to throw.
And why was Anderson for Ynoa not done yesterday. Seems stupid not to have that extra arm yesterday. Someone sleeping in the FO.

No, Ynoa takes Anderson's spot. Yates will eventually take Ynoa's spot. Elder automatically goes back down because that's the 27th man rule.

When. This tells me that hates is at least a week away. Otherwise you can bring up joe blow and then option him when Yates is ready. This means they might use Elder again in a few days and have him available for next weeks double header.
