Braves Post Season Roster

In regards to carrying an extra infielder if Dansby can't go, I honestly think I'd take Ruiz. I'd just hope that he finds some life in his bat. I think there is at least a tad bit of upside there. As compared to Flaherty whose offensive capabilities are brutally limited. Long story short, I really really really hope that Dansby is healthy enough to go.

I would be shocked if Rivera is on the team...I think the bench will be Flowers, Duda, Duvall and Flaherty...with a 9 man pen

our pen is not a strength...but our pitching depth is...we can best leverage that with a nine man pen, which will allow us to aggressively seek out the platoon advantage...this will help us to partly offset one of the Dodgers' strengths, their deep bench

Bingo. Given that we are playing the Dodgers in the first round I wouldn't even be that upset if we carried 5 lefties in the pen. I don't think we will, but I don't think it would be an awful idea.

MLB is projecting this for the Dodgers

Lineup
1. Peterson
2. Turner
3. Muncy
4. Machado
5. Grandal
6. Bellinger
7. Puig
8. Kike Hernandez

Bench
1. Taylor
2. Freese
3. Barnes
4. Kemp
5. Dozier

All right handed hitters. Utley is on the bubble and projected not to be on the roster. I think MLB might be wrong about this. I would expect one lefty hitter on their bench. Either Utley or Verdugo.

Splits of note. Puig has significant reverse splits. Grandal is a switch hitter who hits much better from the left side.

That ****ing lineup. This is going to be a repeat of 2013 at best. Our pitching is going to get wrecked.

it's not like we have great lefties, so i'm great with them going heavy righty.

The Dodgers will pinch hit for Peterson if we have a lefty in. With Muncy it is less of a sure thing. Depends on the game situation. Bellinger will be left in against lefties.

The Dodgers signed Jace? Or is that Dustin???

If Newcomb is indeed starting, I tell him to just empty your tank for five innings. Newcomb when he's wild but striking out everybody is better than the guy that was trying out contact management and starting to get hit harder and harder over the season.

I think it’s time we all start to admit we are going to have to score 7+ to move on with this horrible bullpen...All the names that are being listed literally provide no confidence in going to them to get an out...

I just think the moment will be too big for him....and he will walk 6+ and do his patten 3 1/3 then shower act...
