Steve Borkowski, an undrafted free agent from St. Catherine's College, has tested positive in the ongoing drug patrolling by baseball. Borkowski, who was 3-1 with a 9.00 ERA for Danville, has received a 68-game suspension for testing positive for a metabolite of Stanozolol. In short-season time, that is virtually the entire 2016 season.

You can look it up.

the old QB for the Falcons?!? Thought he would be too old for rookie ball.. I would be juicing at his age too.

The big question is "What would have been his stats had he not used PEDs?" 18.00 ERA? Hate to see what his 1.90 WHIP would have been.

My gut reaction is that this is baseball giving window dressing. They get nobodies from the minor leagues. Too many things going to bother to research. If somebody is ambitious enough to check or has nothing better to do, please check, and see how many BIG names have gotten massive suspensions. Manny was near the end of the trail, and just about everybody had grown tired of the antics. So he was made an example. Current day - ARod is out a year, becomes active and is making obscene sums of money. All those HOF voters thump their chests about Bonds, Sosa, McGuire, et al. Also, there probably are still substances that can go undetected by current tests.

Recommended off-season reading, for anybody who's interested in the subject, Game of Shadows. It's mostly about Bonds and BALCO, but you will become very well-versed on the subject, because those guys did their homework.
