1 year deal per Rosenthal
the wide out or the soccer player?
Don't personally see the logic behind this one. With Garcia the presumed starter at 3B, Peterson the presumed starter at 2B, and both Castro and Ciriaco under control who also provide the flexibility to play SS (not to mention being better hitters), this one's a bit of a head-scratcher to me. Likely means Ciriaco is non-tendered to make room on the roster for a less-flexible player.
I could understand giving him a minor league deal with a camp invite and chance to earn a roster spot, but I wouldn't have guaranteed him any money personally.
