Braves sign Colon

Inloterally ppsted we should sign Colon and when I post it refreshed the board with this thread. Lol. Great signing.

I wonder if Wisler is available in a trade for a better young starter. We could make a good package with Wisler/Albies/Cabrera.
 
Wow. We went old, really old with our latest signings -- nonetheless, they're solid ones. That spells no to Hammel, I'm guessing.

Teheran, Colon, Folty, Dickey, Wisler.
 
Julio, Folty, Dickey, Colon, Wisler or trade is miles better than past few years.

Gives some of the younger arms on the farm time to develop before starting their clocks.

Yes, yes and yes. This is what I figured we'd do. Give it a year before making any big moves, see what we have with our guys, give THEM time to develop. This is a rotation that can win. It's not the Cubs, but it's decent.

Add Archer and we're in the playoffs! Archer, Teheran, Colon, Folty, Dickey :Bowman:
 
Awesome move imo. Assuming no regression then we should see a 5-6 win swing with the addition of Dickey and Colon compared to the plethora of crap we used last year. And both are one 1 year deals as well.

Should give us some trade options like we had this year. If Newcombe or someone else is ready for a spot you move Dickey and/or Colon. People always need pitching.

I like it. I still hope we talk about a bigger name like Archer with Blair/Wisler and Albies as the centerpiece... Archer has a ton of control left and 2nd base is really deep in the system all the sudden.
