The more I think of it, the more I love this signing.

Yeah AA took a WS winning bullpen and made it even better. You can tell AA doesn’t want a fringe starter he wants somebody that can make an impact if he gets one. He may run with what we have until the AS break. I could see him getting Soler though. Gonna be a lot of rotating once RAJ comes back if he does.
There was a lot of rotating after the deadline. We had Pederson, Soler, Rosario, and Duvall all rotating in and out. This year with the DH, you can have Soler, Duvall, Rosario, Ozuna, and Acuna rotating in and out. I'd like to get Acuna off his feet as the DH occasionally
I would rather used that money on an impact bat. But this is a one year deal. I’d take Rosario and Jansens money and get a conforto.
This is what I’m thinking as well, but I’m obviously the low man around here on Rosario.
The BP is certainly going to be a huge strength though, and that strength will be amplified in October.
AA has given a 100 piece tool kit to a guy who can barely change a lightbulb. I suspect I'll be infuriated 3-4 times per week as Snit bungles the BP usage.

It will be interesting to see what Conforto even ends up getting. He's a Boras client, and likely should have accepted the QO after a down last season. I don't even think he has many suitors left at this point.
Word is that he turned down a 9 figure offer from the Mets

Which was why I disliked the Rosario deal. Conforto (or Soler) could very well have fallen into AA’s lap on a discount 1 year deal. Unfortunately, he is no longer in a position to take advantage of it because he felt the need to sign Rosario while better options were available.

All the projections on fangraphs project a big step back this year
