Braves sign Kyle Kendrick

There's no stopping Folty or Perez' clocks, and with Banuelos out of options we're looking at...

The service time clocks of players like Folty and Perez do stop when they are optioned to the minors. In the case of Banuelos, I think his being out of options does work to increase the odds he will not only make the team but also be in the starting rotation. It makes sense to try to develop as many of our prospects as starting pitchers as possible. Most won't make it but we shouldn't prejudge which ones will and which ones won't. Give them all as much of an opportunity as possible.

Right now I would guess our rotation coming out of spring training will be:

Teheran
Wisler
Norris
Banuelos
Chacin or Kendrick

Both Chacin and Kendrick are on minor league deals. So one of them or even both can be cut loose at the end of spring training.

First I thought this was Kyle Hendricks and was pretty excited. Then I realized it was Kendrick and got pissed. Hope Chacin beats him out. He's s better pitcher.

I would have thought the lesson would have been learned by now -- you cannot have enough pitching. We thought they had more than enough last year, but the appearance of Mark Marksberry and Ryan Weber tell you that they didn't have enough to last the season.

That's #4 prospect Ryan Weber to you.

The FO seems to be hoarding money for something. I assume it's mostly about the international signing period this Summer, but I'd like to see some improvements to the MLB roster. Juan Uribe and a reliable LH specialist would be a good start.

Please don't hold your breath on this.

First I thought Anna Kendrick and figured, hey, unconventional, but she has a track record of achieving success against the odds, using unconventional methods and surrounded by cast of misfits.

You mean there was an actual plot to movies she's been in???

Hard to follow when you're busy perving her cleavage - LOL.

I feel like we also talked about an Anna Benson back in the day as well...
