Its definitely not based on the defensive metrics that have well documented problems. And I'm not calling him some great defender, but he is most certainly above average.

I would say I've watched him on a semi-regular basis... along with the Royals, the Orioles are the other AL team I casually root for and I watch a game every now and then since I have MLBTV
