We dont really need someone like Giolito though. I'd aim for someone like Montgomery if the cost is similar to this one.

I'm not that big on Giolito, but I wonder how we match up with the Cardinals. They may be interested in someone in the Shuster/Dodd strata, but they are stacked with middle infielders, so I doubt they would be interested in Grissom

I was looking at his game log and noticed he had been much better of late.

I took from his last Blown lead back in early June.. 17 games, 15 innings.. 6 er.. 25Ks and 8 BB .441 BaBip.. If he could cut those walks down, he would be elite. tall ask, I know.

I wonder if they are going to make johnson throw his slider more.. savant shows that is by far his best pitch but he is only throwing ~10% of the time.. has a 4 seamer that is average and a good curve that might play better out of Coors.. But it looks like he should be using the slider more as a weapon.. Our new slider man hopefully.

Braves had 4 hits vs him in the series here in Atlanta. Including a Mall Olson HR that still hasn't landed yet....But he also struck out 4, no BB's in 2 IP

I know vodnik isn’t great. Seems like a lot to give up for a rental. I know there is some premium to do it now vs deadline.

I just figured when I saw it took a guy I’ve heard of and another player was we had two arb years.
