Braves trade Victor Reyes

This explains why it was said to be "prospects" headed to Arizona in the Cahill trade along with answering the draft pick question of course.

Would have been odd as a stand alone, but makes more sense as a part of the Cahill deal.

Reyes really fell off the table mid-2014 after a promising start in Rome. Young guy who probably hasn't filled out physically yet, so who knows? Not a CF (at least he hasn't played there yet as a professional), so my guess is the acquisition of Paroubeck and presence of Davidson will make for a crowded situation in Rome and Carolina.

We're going heavy on the draft side of things, which should make for an interesting next couple of months.

I would hope our hoarding of early picks means we plan on taking a lot of high-upside HS guys. It would be worthless to grab that many 'Wren specials,' college guys who look to be good bench options.

I don't care too much if we go pitching or hitting as long as it's high upside, though I do want a couple of big bats. I would love to go HS bat at 14.

I'm worried we go college guys b/c they want guys who can play close to 2017........hope I'm wrong. I think I've heard it's a terrible draft for college bats.

I have heard speculation that this pick hoarding is part of a strategy. Trying to inflate the bonus pool so that they can spend big on a couple of guys and then fill out the rest with some low floor low ceiling guys.
