I don't see how he doesn't get Cease being he's tried several times already. Add Cease to Sale, Schwellenbach, Strider, and Holmes 😳

I mean I'm not going to pay Schwarber on being a 150 WRC+ hitter. Someone might though. I'd pay him at the rate of being a 120-130 guy for a few years.

There aren't many pure DHs that are actually good hitters that are going to be available. What I don't want is for another non plus hitter to be in the lineup. Whether it's Schwarber at DH or moving Ronnie there and getting a legit RFer I don't care. A plus hitter needs to be acquired.

I think Faillies are going to try to keep him personally.. but I don't think it is great roster use to have an exclusive DH only. spend on bench pieces so that you can rotate players through the DH slot. It wasn't about who is better or not.. I know Kyle is better.. him getting on base in front of Acuna would be something.. but find a high OBP guy that can play the field too and spend there if possible.

I am with you on that.. pen and hitters is what this team needs. middle of rotation starter would help as well depending..
 
Let Iggy walk and sign Helsey. Put Lopez in the bullpen and be a spot starter and with JJ coming back the bullpen is a strength again. Put Johnson and Ozunas money toward Tucker.

After all the shit he's gotten this year and especially if we miss the playoffs I think he goes nuts this offseason. We should have quite a bit of money to spend especially letting Ozuna and Iggy walk.

Yup. They could theoretically just win 2/3 or 3/4 for the next two months and be fine come August, but I think they'll need a 20-of-23-type stretch to make any noise.
