Lying is part of the job description for politicians. Williams is someone his employers want the public to trust to deliver truth.

My list contains everyone I know that has lied about their helicopter being forced down due to gunfire. I am not aware of any prominent Repubs currently in office that have been caught lying about that.

True. WE only had Ronald Reagan who lied about freeing prisoners in Auschwitz. When he never even fought in the European theater. Or George Bush lying about his military service.

Apples and oranges. The topic is lying about helicopter being forced down. If we wanted to talk about every politician or famous person that made blatantly false public statements, then we'd be here forever.

I actually don't care what Brian Williams said. It's of little relevance to me. I just find it interesting that two prominent members of our government (one current and one former) lied about the exact same thing, and yet no one cares about that.
