Bryce Harper

Wrong. Again.

I tried to change it. He declined.

Then you immediately said let's make it a signature bet instead. You later said the original bet was still on when he ticked you off about something else later. Nope, that doesn't fly. If he wants to leave that's on him. However, there is no way the bet is 100% enforceable. All you have to do is look at the first couple of pages on the Acuna thread to see what I'm saying.

Want to know the easiest way to be sure you can ignore someone’s signing predictions?

They use the “they have X dollars coming off the books” line to demonstrate how much money the team has available. That proves they are clueless.

We know this wrong. Kemp deal moved money but we also got cash. Plus increases in salary.
plus Phillips has never been right

Harper's batting average is down to .228. I'm sure he's frustrated getting walked so much, but I was surprised to see it that low. He's been really unlucky too with a .185 BABIP, so should normalize as the season goes on and he gets more protection in the line-up back around him from injury and slow starts. Still, .228. Yeesh.

Probably frustrated that Matt Adams is so much better than him (.298/.410/.702) - up to 1.2 WAR!

Bryce Harper just needs Joey Batts hitting behind him for protection. Then he'd be MVP instead of Markakis.

I'm thinking the Orioles sign Harper. Can you think of a better way to tweak the GNats? And they clear quite a bit of payroll.

I think signing with the Braves would be more of a nut shot to them. I know it would have bothered me if Heywood signing with the Nats, atleast it would have until he turned into Melvin and dragged them down like the Cubs.
