Playing the Waiting Game
Could he be a possible answer to LF (or moving Markakis to LF would be ideal) for the future?

Let's say he is, what does it take to land him?

My opinion: Matt Wisler, Rob Whalen and Christain Bethancourt while taking on all of his contract.
 
Gonzalez is one of those players whose value is very high but so is the risk. I wouldn't touch him, because the price it'd take to get him could end up being an insane overpay.
 
If we're giving up that much talent, then they need to take on some cash or take on a bad contract lIke Bourn or Swisher.
 
No thanks, we dont need to trade for another player who will fall apart as soon as he puts on a Braves uniform.
 
With swisher, Bourn, Maybin, and markakis, Cargo wouldn't get to play. Our OF is stacked haha
 
I would do this trade just to see Wisler pitch in Coors. That would be entertaining.

His value is extremely high you're right but with Colorado's inability to sign pitchers and our relative abundance (although you never have enough) of pitchers we match up well (in my opinion, which means nothing).
 
Wonder if wood and peraza wouldve landed him. I'd much rather take a shot on an injury risk that's a proven mlb hitter than one that isn't

I would say most definitely it would have. I just think whatever offense we get will be through trades. If that is indeed the case, there only seems to be limited options with CarGo and Braun standing out as outfielders.

I say go for either of them. If we really wanna win next year, either would be a good start
 
He's owed alot of money the next 2 years so that should keep his value down as far as players goes. But I'd Def take a chance on him. Arenado isn't happy at all in Colorado since Tulo was traded. Shoot for the moon and try to get him. It would probably clear out half our farm.

Olivera, folty, wisler, Bethancourt, Perez, and touissaint for arenado. Would you do it?
 
Yeah I'd do it. We'd still have Manny and Jenkins for the rotation and Sims close. Arenado is a game changer, and young.

Don't know, but he's due like 40 million over the next 2 yrs. That isn't chump change. While he's having a nice year, he has an extensive injury history and then there's the Coors effect. I wouldn't give up 3 very good prospects for him. Wisler and Bet didn't have a good showing in the majors this yr, but both are still very talented and were top 100 prospects before the season. I'm not giving two top 100 guys for Cargo.
