I think we found a legit injury and offered less than full $. He got bad advice and played really hard ball. We didn’t play back.

There is a minimum in order to receive draft pick compensation in the event that the player doesn't sign. I'm assuming that is what he is arguing.

Not sure what Stewart can prove, but if a grievance was actually filled by the MLBPA, I'm guessing he's got something. However, Braves can use the injury argument. Hard to see this gaining stream. Still doesn't make the Braves look good.

The thing working in his favor is AA's past. The record of not signing picks makes the injury look more like an excuse. Not saying it wasn't real, just saying it's not a good look.
