Looking over a FA list, here are the catchers available and their ops and fWAR last season.

Carlos Ruiz - .665 0.5 (54 games)

Geovany Soto - .676 0.0 (48 games)

Ryan hanigan - .671 -0.1 (33 games)

Hank conger - Arizona AAA

Chris herrman - .618 -0.6 (106 games)

Cameron Rupp - .716 0.8 (88 games)

Michael ohlman - .462 0.0 (7 games)

Tony Sanchez - AAA and 1 game for braves

Taylor Davis - .539 -0.1 (8 games)

Michael mchenry - rays AAA

Josh thole - .474 -0.5 (50 games)

Derek Norris - .638 0.1 (53 games)

Without looking at framing stats, I would call Ruiz, rupp, or Norris

In last night's game thread, I brought up Rupp as an emergency signee. He's 29 so should have at least 1 or 2 years of durability left.

There's a small wrist bone right where Suzuki got hit. It took 6 weeks for mine to mend when I broke it many years ago.

I heard Alex Jackson's name get brought up a lot in ST. I assume he's no where close?

He played in ST, so he's somewhat close, but it's like 1-2 years early in my opinion.

I think the main deal is it's rare to bring up prospects that have potential for like a 10 game stint when you can have a AAAA guy come up, kind of like how it's a little goofy to bring up AAA pitchers for 10 days and then send them back down

Figures that it would turn out to be None of the Above
