"Braves acquire International Bonus Pool Slot #53 from Oakland in exchange for RHP Cody Martin."

Does anybody know how much we got? I'm assuming we need to get to 1million more overall so we can go for that phenom next year?

Only received $388,400, so still $553,200 over pool money. Will have to make at least one more trade or we will be severely penalized and won't be able to sign anyone over $300,000 next year.

Methinks we sold Cody a bit short. He'll do well pitching in the Coliseum.

This is not bad for Dalyn. The A's are his American League team. Mine too. Martin is a smart pickup for them.

Well he went unclaimed in the rule 5 draft. Now he goes for international slot money. I don't think that is selling him short. I think it's just an acknowledgement that he's a fringe big leaguer at best.

His biggest problem is giving up HR, so going to Oakland should really help Cozy Martini

Really liked Cody, and wish him well, but I'm not a loss right now. Pretty apparent their was a ceiling on his projectory as a middle reliever or possible back end rotation type, and nothing more, and even more apparent that the organization did not have him rated as highly as some, including me, on here were. He will do well in Oakland in the right role, and if we had a complete team right now he would be a valuable piece, but that isn't the case and it's time to move on to hopefully higher upside types.

I like Cody Martin but I also liked David Hale even more and the organization wasn't high on either of them. I would've liked to get more for Martin than just $388,400 in international slot money, esp. since we need closer to a million. But I am not surprised his value wasn't higher right now.

We sold him at his lowest point. That's never good. I would be upset, but it's the A's, so I'll still get to watch him pitch a ton. And it'll be in the rotation under Young when it happens, no doubt, and that will make it worth it. Better for Martin, for sure.

At least we didn't trade him for Prado
