The benchmark has been and will remain how you fare against Alabama. They are unquestionably the best team in the sport year in and year out. Nobody has success against them and I think it's a bit unfair to have that be a deciding factor.

**** Tennessee and that ****ing dude in the green. Good to know the Georgia guy can be flagged for celebrating with his team but that bull**** excuse of a coach can lean in and waive his hands at a live pass and not be called for unsportsmanlike. Oh and **** Georgia's special teams play.
 
Kirby Smart is not a very good coach. This Georgia team has zero discipline which is a complete failure of the coaches.

Then Smart decides to pooch the kickoff to try to keep it away from the UT return man but UT only put one man back so their good returner still got it (and caught it at the 40) and returned it 20 more yards. Then he rushes 2 or 3 giving Dobbs all day to wait for his receivers to get to the endzone. Receivers that are several inches taller than the UGA backs.

Smart is a lousy football coach. He may be able to recruit but after that he's utterly lost.

It was a bad mistake, much like the 2014 Tech debacle, but to judge him on five games would be extremely premature and silly. He's got some improvement to make, but I'm optimistic he's going to turn things around. The discipline thing has been a long-running problem and won't be fixed overnight. There's an entire culture change going on here.

Kirby went out after the game and blamed his players for being undisciplined. Discipline being his job. That lost me.

Kirby has looked bad. No way around it. Maybe he gets better. Right now he's not very good.
