I'm not all that sure on Kirby, but thank God Grantham is leaving. There's probably a good 15-20 or more out there that would do better.

Well, 850k is a big raise. That's some big money for a young, DC with only 1 year experience

That's silly.

I think Strong's going to surprise some people; he's a great coach.

Strong had been known as a good recruiter at Florida, but he didn't do that well at Louisville, despite recent BCS bids. I personally don't see the point in firing Brown, who had been to a NCG as recently as 09, and replacing him with a Strong who has very little HC experience in the weakest BCS conference. Very, very risky, imo.

I think the NCAA should put weight limits on college football players. That should help prevent injuries. I'm sure Nick Saban will get behind this idea since he's sooooo concerned about player safety.

Put one on coaches while you're at it

Louisville football recruit Sharieff Rhaheed-Muhammad was arrested Monday and faces a felony charge of “lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor” after allegedly impregnating his 14-year-old cousin.

“The pregnancy was aborted in November, and genetic testing of the remains showed on Feb. 11 a nearly 100 percent chance that Rhaheed-Muhammad, 17, was the father,” Scott T. Smith of CBS 12 News writes. “After Rhaheed and his mother refused to provide a DNA sample, police served a search warrant at the high school in November and took a swab of his DNA, according to the report.”

The school told WPTV in West Palm Beach that “(Louisville football head) coach Bobby Petrino is aware of the situation.”

Rhaheed-Muhammad committed to Louisville on Feb. 5. He was an outside linebacker at Fort Pierce Central (FL) High School during the 2013 season, and was recruited by SEC schools including Alabama, Arkansas and Missouri, per 24.7 Sports.

What a ****ing moron. I hope they don't drop the charges.

Winston swiped some crab legs?

Ban from football and 2.5 million dollar fine seems like an appropriate punishment for such an egregious crime.
