We watch two different squads then, they have shat the bed in the big teams way more often than not.

I remember UGA giving Bama all they could take in the SEC championship the last time Bama won the Championship, despite UGA being huge underdogs. They took a very talented Clemson team to the wire last yr. They beat a good LSU team last yr. And they just beat the dog piss out of a very good Auburn team that was still in the playoff race just two weeks ago.

Notre Dame has lost 2 in a row. Are they no longer any good?

I don't like Auburn or ND at all. I thought both had some major flaws before they lost their 1st games. But they're both still easily one of the top 25 teams in the country.

So Auburn is good despite losing two games in a row?

Well, how harsh are we supposed to be judging whether a team is good or not? Certainly I'm not throwing them in the top 4, but I still think they are a good team. How much money would you put on FSU in an AU/FSU game? Probably not that much I'm guessing.

We were as good as that Alabama team. Had studs all over on offense and a damn good defense that underachieved with Grantham but still had two first-rounders at LB and worlds of talent.

It's not so much of playing up or playing down as it is Georgia always has one game a year where they act like they've never seen a football. Unfortunately that was Florida this year.

Sagarin ratings are very interesting. Steak Sauce always tells me that he wants to see math and facts, so I think he'll be interested in these ratings.

Its top 4:

1) Bama - Makes sense
2) Ole Miss - Would make sense, but I just can't put them there because they lost their best offensive player to freak injury. Really feel bad for them as I think they'd fit right here if he didn't get hurt. Sagarin obviously is not taking that into effect.
3) UGA - The shocking one. Sagarin has them here because they are 5-1 vs the top 30.
4) Baylor - You know what? I agree with this. I'm having trouble figuring out why TCU is automatically ranked over Baylor. I think they are basically the same team. Baylor did beat TCU head to head and only lost on the road vs a top 30 team which was a classic let down game. Plus their best player has been battling injury.

Interesting notes. Sagarin has FSU ranked 15th. This is the math you've been wanting Steak Sauce so how can you complain? Also, Auburn is ranked 6th largely because they have the toughest rated schedule in college football.

And for my Vols. They are ranked one spot below Notre Dame. LSU, A&M and UT are the only teams in college football that have had to play 4 top ten teams to this point based on Sagarin rankings. AU will get there after they play Bama.

Kentucky football will always do this. Start out 5-1 (should've been 6-0), beat a decent team, finally get a couple SEC wins, and we start to think we've turned a corner...

Nope. They won't suck me in. UT pounded us like it was 1996. Can't wait for Louisville to dumptruck us in two weeks.

Maybe next year, I guess.

I was very impressed with Towles. He looked like an NFL QB to me. I think UK is on the way up with Stoops. I'm not sure if he stays there, but if Stoops sticks around then UK will be going to a lot of bowl games. Really tough for UK fans to expect more than that in the SEC. They don't have a great recruiting base and will probably always be at the bottom of SEC recruiting because of that. They just happened to get UT after we inserted Dobbs at QB. From the moment he was inserted at QB he's been arguably the best QB in the SEC.

I mean, I don't think it's too much to ask to at least be competitive in half of your SEC games.

I like Stoops, too... just think UK fans are so desperate for ANY success, they think we're headed for SEC championships because we beat South Carolina. We've given up approximately 1,305 points over our last 3 games.

from twitter:

BOOM RT @davidraider88: If the Civil War had ended in July of 1863, the South would've won because of Game Control.

losses don't matter RT @ColFootballNews: Technically, Texas A&M's win over Auburn is better than anything Florida State has on the resume.

Jeff Long literally just listed off a list of criteria and mentioned everything but WINNING.

Can anyone here explain how Game Control is calculated?
Has anyone here seen the Game Control rankings?

I certainly hope we get to see Alabama-FSU when all is said and done.

Not a good day for Ohio St. so far as far as making the case for a spot in the top 4. Va Tech lost to Wake Forest and OSU struggled against Indiana.

Lol more and more luck. Still plenty to say for a team that can win ugly games.

Ole Miss not showing up. If USC and can take care of the Bruins, and Rocky Top pulls it out, could be a very good day for Georgia.

We'll see what happens with Miss St. tonight, but I can't see myself putting FSU any higher than 4 after another poor performance. Way too many close calls for them. A few are ok, but it seems like it's been nearly every game for them against pretty bad teams. And now that Notre Dame win looks not so good.

The Ole Miss offense is just simply not good without Treadwell. That play at the end of the Auburn game pretty much ruined their season. I can't see them beating Miss St. next week.

11-0
But boy that win against Louisville looks good !

- did anyone watch the game ?
vs a team that hasn't lost on the road this season.
had 2 weeks to prepare sandwiched between Noles 2 in state rivalry games -

Miss State plays Vandy tonight - might as well invite the neighbors over to play card tonight Wes

What got into Arkansas ?
