Bama is a different offense with Jam Miller healthy. But overall, yeah they aren't super impressive on offense. Pretty one dimensional. Defensively, they are very solid.

OU is 2024 Tennessee. Great defense but super mediocre offense that can't throw it against good defenses.

Texas A&M is probably the most talented team from top to bottom, but Reed is so bi-polar and you never know what version you're gonna get.

Texas Tech has a ton of talent, but they haven't faced the toughest schedule. Will be interesting to see how they play vs top tier teams.

UGA is good but I don't feel like they are very explosive on offense. More sort of the grind it out type of offense this year rather than the explosive offenses we saw in year's past. Defense is solid, but not great.

Indiana is obviously a great team. Heisman QB, fantastic defense. Extremely well coached. But they do lack the talent of other top end teams. I question whether they can maintain this level of play for 3 straight games vs elite teams.

OSU is great again, but Sayin is so frigging overrated. But still, loaded with talent everywhere.

Miami is sort of the same as A&M. Oozing with talent on both sides of the ball. When Beck is good he's great. When he's bad, he single handedly loses you the game. No real in between with him.

Oregon and Ole Miss are quite clearly below every other team on this list. They are here solely because of a weak schedule. ND is better than both teams. Texas right now is better than both teams. I feel like Pavia would torch both of these teams and give Vandy better than a 50-50 chance to beat either team.
UGA defense has been lights out of late. They are peaking at the right time.

They’d be my favorites if the natty was played tomorrow

This. The defense struggled early. But the young DBs have come on strong allowing Georgia to dial up the pressure. They had Simpson running for his life.

Not anymore, NDSU isn't what they used to be, but likely a decent game. NDSU pops a major team about every 2 years. Hell i think they had a winning record vs Big 10 schools over the years.

JMU's matchup isn't good for them. They would fare much better against other teams. Oregon just has too many horses. They'd likely be way more competitive against some of the other schools not named OSU or UGA. Hell I'm suprised they lost.

I think Bama put together a really impressive run in the middle of the season but at the end, folks figured them out. They can't run it.

ND has no one to blame but themselves. Grow up and join a conference. Play ohio st, or Michigan, or someone else in there. Next year their schedule is a joke, but thats what they are gonna do year in and out, they know they have to be perfect.
I'm getting a kick out of all the memes regarding Notre Dame's opt-out. I wonder what Rudy thinks about it. The arrogance is astounding. BYU got equally shafted and they're gladly willing to battle for the giant Pop-Tart.

They played 2 playoff teams to a stalemate for 59 minutes. They have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball. And they were in the Finals this past January.
One of the most complete teams. Every talking head says ND is one of the few teams capable of winning it all. This years team is better than last years team.

Yeah the defense has looked like shades of past dominant UGA defenses against good to very good teams for several games now. The UGA defense may have been average to start the year but it is most certainly elite at this point. What is scary is how young the whole team is. With Gunner leading the way and several difference makers rumored to be coming back, UGA is gonna be a problem next year if they stay healthy.

I will say this about the offense. I feel like they are explosive when they need to be.

lol yes. They had the 4th best odds to win in going into playoff selection week. They’re better this year, than last year.
Yeah because or their annual cupcake schedule. Notre Dame isn’t capable of winning it all. If they wanted to get in the playoffs they should have played better. Don’t be a homer.

They were in the championship game last year my man, and they played Ohio State much better than the 2 SEC teams that Ohio State played in the CFP. So this isn't an accurate statement.

They also played Texas A&M to the wire this year, and A&M is arguably the best team in the SEC.

They were also a better team last year. A&M played the softest schedule in the SEC... they are a top 4 team in the SEC... I will give you that. Notre Dame would absolutely get crushed with an SEC schedule... 4 loss team at best.

That's debatable, at best. Love was injured and limited for the playoffs last year. This year, he was a Heisman candidate and he's healthy. CJ Carr is also a much better passer than Riley Leonard ever was, giving their offense a dynamic they didn't have last year.

ND is better than Bama. They are 100% better than OM without Kiffin (who also played a weaker schedule than ND).

ND played 2 playoff teams, a 3 loss USC team that just missed out on the playoffs, an 8 win Pitt team, a 10 win Navy team, and a 9 win Boise St team. That isn't a soft schedule. The worst you can say is that they didn't beat any elite teams.

Also they throttled Arkansas by 43 points, on the road no less. And even as bad as Arky was, no SEC team was able to beat Arky by more than 2 TDs.

I don't know that ND is better than Bama... prob right on Ole Miss... but you can't leave an SEC team out that only has one loss to the number 3 team in the country. But Pitt, Navy, Boise State? Really? Those are 3 very mediocre teams who don't play anyone... Notre Dame needs to man up and join a conference. The physicality in the SEC would destroy them.

ND has pulled no lower than the 12th ranked recruiting class since Freeman took over. They just as much talent as any team in the SEC not named UGA or Bama.

And if you think Boise St, Navy, and Pitt are worse than teams like UK, Arky, and Florida this year, then you simply weren't paying attention.
