Lot of folks were dubbing this the annual "Separation Saturday." I think it's going to be more about the teams all getting clustered back in together.

Well when 3 of the top 4 lose that will happen. Thing is I don't expect either Mississippi school to win a big road game. Heck Auburn will end the Bulldogs next week anyway.

I made that based off what the teams has done up to this week. Nobody would have agreed that up to this week that Florida State was the best team out there. They by default are in the mix until someone beats them.

..."until someone beats them"

In fact a number of people felt FSU was the better team and based on this weeks results ... well, there really isnt much to change their minds

last season the rap was they never played a close game -this year the rap is they play too many close games.
The rap is the rap and the record is the record

but hey, SEC -- Alabama hasnt beaten a ranked team since when? 2 crazy plays the end of last season (vs powerhouse SEC teams) and we are ignoring Auburn. NOW, Miss St and Ole Miss --- Arkansas ???
please. Georgia fans are afraid of Florida -- wow
suppose Clemson had a coach that kenw how to recognize and utilize talent - we might not be talking about Georgia

I hate the SEC. And when has beating Wake Forest no matter what the score ever been impressive?

If Clemson had a kicker, we're not talking about FSU. Anything can happen in the sport. FSU is No. 1 until they're knocked off. I don't think there's much question about that.

Also, if UGA's kicker hadn't disappeared, and the offensive coordinator wasn't an idiot when the ball was inside the 5, we would have beaten Carolina.

Speaking of Carolina, they just threw a pick 6 and are down to Kentucky with 2:29 left.

Yeah nobody is debating that fact. They are the champs until someone else is. It's not a slight at the Seminoles at all.

I think in the end FSU will wind up being in the top 4 because they have the easiest schedule compared to the other top teams competing for one of those spots. Notre Dame is the toughest game left on their schedule by far. That could essentially be a wildcard game. Whoever wins that one gets a spot in the top 4. Keep in mind my rankings are for what I think are the top 4 teams right now. So, if I'm going with my top 4 here is where it's at. I'm just not convinced that FSU's defense is championship caliber this season, so it's hard to include them in the top 4 other than by default.

First, I'm discounting the entirety of the Big 10. It is a horrible conference. I'm also discounting the SEC east. It is a horrible division. UGA is out as far as I'm concerned even though they may finish with only one loss.

1) Auburn
2) Miss St
3) FSU
4) Ole Miss

I think Bama, UCLA and Notre Dame are right there. Not buying Baylor. They haven't played anyone and their conference is very weak right now. Their schedule does get tougher after this week, but really still kind of meh. Also, I can't believe Stoops blew it again. Had a cake walk to the playoffs and just blew it.
