College Football Thread

As if there's a viable alternative route to the NFL.

BTW, there is still no evidence of money being exchanged that is confirmed to have been presented and no confirmation that he confessed to anything.

But we're all about guilt until proven innocence here.

BTW, you were just going off about the UF QB raping someone.

Glass houses and stones and all. Just saying.

Lol.

Think he has admitted , at least I've read that.

I've heard varying accounts. I'm sure he has to the school, but I'm not sure why they'd hire the same lawyer that repped Johnny and Auburn unless he hasn't admitted to all they think he did, or they can't find a paper trail and are just going to take their chances with the NCAA.

If gurley was innocent he'd be on the news proclaiming his innocence.

True, for the most part. Sometimes people get told to keep their mouth shut.

I'd say he has admitted to it, if only because the investigation is expected to wrap early next week. My guess is they're trying to determine whether it was just the $400 or if there is proof of it going further.

Isn't there video evidence?

uGA should be furious at Gurley. He knew the rules. He knew he was bolting for the nfl after this season. Hes basically saying 'I got mine and I used you' to uGA and its fans.

Last I heard, there was video of him signing, but no money being exchanged. Of course, we can pretty much assume if he was signing, some cash was involved.

And yeah, I'm pretty pissed/furious at him. He made a stupid, dumb, selfish decision and mistake. Sound like any other 19- or 20-year-olds you know? Ultimately, he is at the greatest fault, and should be held accountable for letting his team down.

Still think he's a decent person. Still think it's a stupid, hypocritical rule that should be changed. Still think that SOB dealer should be banned from selling anything connected with the NCAA.

Id take it a step further. If I were UGA, I'd ban the dealer from all on site UGA activities. Never let him set foot on the campus again. Then I'd kiss someone in the NCAA's ass and get them to pull the guys rights to sell ncaa merchandise.

That's how you send a message

Doubt it happens, though. There are tons of people like this guy, and he'll keep doing the same ****, even if he has to move to Ohio or somewhere. He and others will continue to take advantage of kids, and the NCAA won't do a damn thing. One of these days, a douche like him is going to hit 5-6 players/programs at once, and more people will realize just how stupid this whole issue is. Hell, this guy had numerous Jameis Winston items on his eBay. Also stuff from other SEC programs.

There are much larger systemic problems here than a kid making a dumb, costly decision.

Great win for Georgia. Not surprised at all by what Chubb and Douglas did. I am pleasantly surprised at what the defense did. Gotta keep getting better.
