I don't know. Did you watch the game? Just some really odd choices by Kiffin. Henry should have gotten about 10 more touches at least.

Also, I think it's safe to say that Bama is the toughest defense OSU played this season. Elliott never came close to 11 ypc versus anyone else. So something was amiss with the defensive play calling there.

Obviously OSU is a good team and more than capable of beating Bama, but your theory doesn't make sense when you dig into the stats.

And look I was pulling against Bama in this one so it's not like I'm biased. Clearly a poorly coached game by Bama.

Certainly should have run ball more bc they put too much on a QB that wasn't that good. But the defense got destroyed by a 3rd stringer. Bamas secondary was awful all year long and tOSU knew they could throw the ball downfield at will. Bama was lucky to even be in game

Overrated again is the dumbest thing I've read on this board .

National championships are where the hay is made. it was a down year across the board, even Bama was down and still made the dance.

I think there are plenty of quality teams across the nation but a lot of good ones reside in the SE.

Which SeC teams looked good out of conference in the bowls? Jorja?

Giles, I understand your feelings towards the SEC (I have them too) but one game doesn't make a team better or worse. Alabama and OSU could play tomorrow and Bama could win.

It's a VERY down year. I didn't expect any to win their matchups, especially after how well Tech played down the stretch. We had them beat, and fumbled it away $/&@!

What does a really down years bowl performances say about 10 years of championships ? Not much.

Fwiw, I am not a fan of an SEC team.

What makes Bama better? There defense is atrocious.

My argument has never been that the SEC didn't have the single best team in NCAA (though didn't this year). It's that the teams behind that team in the SEC get overated by simply being in the SEC and losing to teams like that.

Look at LSU being a top 25 team. That's a joke.....anyone watch them play? Auburn at 19? They couldn't stop any offense and can't throw the ball. Other teams like Texas A&M were ranked....a team with ,aye the worst defense in NCAA and a freshman QB

Could had been a bad day

I try to compare teams on if they played each other ten times in a row.

Would Ohio state go 10-0? no. State beat Bama yesterday, but if they played ten times it'd probably be a 6-4 or 5-5 split

Congratulations to Ohio State tonight. They outplayed and frankly, outcoached Alabama tonight and deserved to win tonight. No excuses.

Even on a disappointing night, I'm still a Tide fan and I'll always be. Roll Tide

Should have been Alabama and Oregon. As a Ducks fan. I looked forward to it.

Or the carp excuse, they didnt care?

How about Bama just wasnt that good? They gave up 500 plus yards to a team with a third string QB.

SEC! Overated again

Bama is overrated, this was by far their worse team with Saban in the last 5 years but not running Henry was questionable.

So they are now what 7-5? How is that so bad? Potential for more with UF?

I'm just going off a graphic on the UT game for these numbers

Florida win would make it 7-5 I believe. Main problem was Alabama getting beat by Ohio State who pretty much all SEC fans have mercilessly dogged over the past few years, Ole Miss getting trampled by TCU and Mississippi State losing to Tech. Although Tech was much better than this year than people gave them credit because they finally got a good QB and played at least some defense.

Georgia winds up with the conference's most impressive victory against Louisville, whom I recall at least one certain poster here saying was very good. Beat them 37-14 with Gurley gone, Mason getting hurt halfway through, top receiver getting hurt and starting strong safety getting hurt during the game. Not to mention we lost our OC, whose units consistently ranked very highly. Could have been a wider margin, too. Not bad.

Wish FSU would have fallen to one of those 7 teams they trailed to so we wouldn't have to watch that debacle last night and might could have seen what TCU could have done.
