College Football Thread

Not getting excited about rankings, but MSU is number 2 in the AP. Again received first place votes and are as high in the polls since 1966. Just an exciting time right now.

I love how Georgia smokes its opponent, two teams ahead of them lose, and they still don't move up. TCU is not that good.

Oh yea, I know. The only ones that matter are the playoff committee. I just have a real hard time figuring out these people's thinking.

I think Alabama losing last night will hurt Georgia. Saban is gonna be out to prove a point the rest of the year, and they can't lose again and hope to make it to Atlanta.

Georgia has played well, but all three games, our defense has really lost focus for a drive or two. That could be the difference in a game with Alabama. Also need to play better on special teams, but there is promise if we can stay healthy and out of autograph parasites' cars.

I don't see Georgia losing any regular season game. Lucky for them they have a bye week before they play Alabama in Anthens. Basically Richt can rest his starters for the second halve next week. Alabama will be tough, they aren't making it out of the west. Ole Miss isn't losing two games and owns the tie-beaker.

Tennessee on the road will be difficult. Especially coming right after Alabama. Auburn and Tech are gonna be difficult, too. Florida is always tough.
 
TCU is that good. It's a shame they didn't get a chance to prove it last year.

Baylor has the best offense in football, but can't stop anyone from scoring.

TCU plays nobody and neither does Baylor. That is why they weren't in the playoff last year. I will give TCU credit for at least going up to Minnesota for the first week. Granted that win doesn't look that good now, but it's more than a lot of teams can say.
 
Well Ohio State went to Blacksburg. Who has Baylor played the last few years in the non conference. Not too mention their conference is a joke too.
 
If Butch loses to UF this week I'm officially out. I'm going full red here. I need for Butch to show me something. No more excusex. Florida sux and their fans know it. We need to do this. Oklahoma I think is a decent team, but UF is clearly in a state of decline. I need Butch to win this mathup. I'm on the Chip Kelly bandwagon if Butch blows this opportunity. Butch needs to go now if he screws up this chance. Bring me Kelly if Butch loses this game.

u of Texas would make chip Kelly an offer that Tennessee could not match if it came down to it.
 
Kiffin supposedly fired/resigning. Some rumors are saying he slept with a booster's wife. Another rumor is saying it was Saban's daughter (extremely doubtful).

It's also just possible that he's simply taking the Illinois job. But regardless, it's looking pretty clear that he is gone. Certainly puts the Bama offense in even more of a hole.
