Not sure what to think about my Huskers this year. Our offense will probably be Top 10 in the country, while our defense will be Bottom 10. I can see UCLA scoring 60+ against us in Lincoln in week 3, and we'll have tough B1G games against Mich, PSU, NW and Mich State. I'll predict 10-4 with another beating in the B1G Championship game and by an SEC team in the bowl game. Hopefully Pelini either gets the boot or takes a job elsewhere so we can find a coach who isn't a volcanic douchebag, and who actually believes in recruiting!

hey looking rankings before a game is played

it makes sense

if you are dumb

Johnny Manziel being investigated by the NCAA for allegedly receiving cash for signing memborabilia.

Reports tonight that Manziel did two more signings. He apparently signed more that 4,400 autographs for three brokers in three states.

If Nebraska loses more than two games this year (Michigan, bowl game & B10 Title game), they should fire him. My best friend works on the football staff so it would be jeopardizing his employment if they canned Pelini. The schedule is just so horrendous that they have to have a big year to keep the faith with the fans. Wish I could go to a game this year but alas, stuck in Indiana with my job.

Agree completely. I hate to say this, but I'm stuck in the same limbo I was 6-7 years ago when Callahan was our HC: I will NEVER root against my Huskers, but if we keep going 10-4 under Pelini, he's not going anywhere when the majority of Husker fans thinks he's doing a "good" job. And you're right, with our cupcake schedule anything more than 2-3 losses and he SHOULD be fired. Hopefully our new AD Eichorst has the same thought process? If UCLA comes into Lincoln and beats us in week 3, things could get really bumpy after that.

I just expect Nebraska to have 4 losses every season as long as Pelini is here. I also expect them to win 9 games every year with him at the helm. I think he's much like Solich in that he's good enough to win 9-10 games every year but not good enough to recruit them over the hump to a title game.

And with the results of Pelini's last 3-4 years, we're exactly where we didn't want to go:

I refuse to let the program gravitate into mediocrity. -Steve Pederson
