V-Tech shooting themselves in the foot. 3 fumbles lost and a muffed punt. Credit to Tennessee's defense as well, but VT now with 8 fumbles in 2 games. Hard to win games win you put the ball on the ground that many times. To their credit, their defense stepped up and only allowed 7 points off the 3 fumbles. This game could/should be much worse than the scoreboard shows.

UT has played better this week, especially after a slow start in the first quarter again. Shoop has done a remarkable job making in game defensive adjustments in our 1st two games. VT has been stymied on offense for the most part since the 1st quarter.

As I type this, VT fumbles yet again. Wow.

Hopefully he can be as good as his brother was

I just assumed it was Brandon Allen, but then remembered he was gone. Either way I think the kid has a bright future. He made some great throws last night and looks like an NFL type QB.

After a mostly dull week 2, week 3 looks promising: FSU v. Louisville, Bama v. Ole Miss, Ohio State v. Oklahoma, Notre Dame v. Michigan State. Texas at Cal is worth keeping an eye on, too.

I think Ohio State rolls Oklahoma up. I think Louisville is a good team, but they aren't on the same level as a Florida State.

I think both Louisville and FSU are better teams than Clemson. That can change if Deshaun Watson picks his game up, but right now FSU and Louisville can bring it.

Be interesting to see how UGA comes out to a bad Mizzou team after Nicols. They got WHIPPED up front by Nicols freaking state.

I've tried to keep telling myself that it's never as good or bad as it seems and that last weekend was just a fluke. But there's never an excuse for a game like that to be nearly as close as it was. Smart said from day one it was going to take time to really build the line up, but we still should have been able to gash those guys. It's not like they're an FCS behemoth like North Dakota State or Ga. Southern/App State back in the day.

The failure to adequately recruit talent for the offensive line was probably the biggest error by Mark Richt, and now it's showing. Only thing that comes close is not making Deshaun Watson a top priority.

Missouri D-line has kind of underperformed the first two weeks, but we might very well be the cure to that.

This was the one game during the preseason I was concerned about that others weren't. So we'll see. I live in Athens now, and the mood around town is more anxious than usual.

Wisconsin struggled today against Georgia State. Iowa losing at home to an FCS school. Florida State allowed the most points in their history today.
