College Football Thread

AM is a good team. Alabama is at an entirely different level than everyone else. No doubt in my mind they would compete against the Cleveland Browns.

I keep thinking Saban has to jump back to the NFL at some point. Men like him can't stand having failed at something. And what is there left for him to achieve at the college level.

They did change QBs...

But, Tennessee was vastly overrated just due to experience. I don't mean it to harass Tenn fans, but they almost lost to App State and barely beat Ohio and Georgia.

They should have lost to Georgia. It took a long string of insanely unlikely occurrences to beat Georgia. And Georgia is really, really bad.

My top 6 before the rankings come out this week.

Alabama, Clemson, Washington, scUM, Louisville, Ohio State

Why? Alabama duh. Clemson has the best win of anyone in the nation. Washington probably has the second most impressive win because of their win at Utah yesterday. They absolutely rolled up Stanford who were overrated, but not the Huskies fault. ScUM has left the state of Michigan once. Beating Penn State could prove to be even more impressive before the season is finished.

At this point I'm willing to concede a Georgia loss to Kentucky if it helps them get past Florida and Tennessee in the East. For the lulz of it all.

Tennessee has been a bit lucky, but we also took A&M to OT at College Station. USC loss is tough to swallow, but we're still missing somewhere between 8-9 starters, and several other key players are very banged up. We've been absolutely devastated by injuries this year and this recent gauntlet we just ran have only made matters worse.

I don't care if it's a team like Bama with all their 5 star talent. If you lose 10+ starters throughout the year and play the schedule we have so far, you aren't coming out of that schedule any better than 6-2.

And now news of another starter done for the year. Starting to think this is less of a luck issue and more of a strength and conditioning issue.
